Join Two Great Associations and Help the Children Affected By Hurricane Katrina
AUSTIN, TX - On Thursday, Sept. 8th you can feed your soul by simply dining at local Austin eateries or shop one of our local businesses and the proceeds will help the children suffering from Hurricane Katrina.Join the Greater Austin Restaurant Association and Choose Austin First in a city-wide fundraiser to help raise money for the children affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Participating members will donate a percentage of that day's sales to the American Red Cross, with the proceeds directed specifically to children in need of aid."We organized a fundraiser for our troops called Serving Up Support last December and raised over $33,000 - we want to beat that goal and help the children suffering from this tragedy," said Ronald Cheng, owner of Chinatown.
