History

Jimmy Flannigan, Site Street founder, arrived at The University of Texas at Austin in the fall of 1996.  He quickly started learning how to build webpages, creating a personal website and websites for various organizations and clubs right from his UT dorm room.  In 1997, he started offering his services to non-profit organizations around the country, providing web services to a convent in Northern California (see Sisters of the Holy Family) and to an educational competition out of Dallas.

For the first few years, Site Street was a web design and development company only.  Then in 1999 after struggling with outsourced web hosting, Jimmy decided to provide hosting directly, without reselling another company's services.  The very first data center was two servers beneath his tiny off-campus rented house.  Yet, even with those humble beginnings, Site Street was able to offer better and more reliable hosting than most large corporate data centers.  By providing the hosting directly, clients no longer had to remember multiple tech support numbers or pay multiple bills.  Any website question or need could be answered with a single phone call.

In 2001, Site Street moved into its current, wholly-owned facility.  Since that time, Site Street has made continual upgrades to both hardware and software to provide the most reliable hosting environment possible.  Site Street also expanded its service offerings to include search engine optimization and email marketing, providing a full suite of website success services.

Also in 2001, Site Street founder Jimmy Flannigan obtained his BBA in Management Information Systems from UT.  He spent several years working in the dot com world, with his last position as the Chief Technical Officer of a commodities brokerage and software firm.  In 2003, Jimmy obtained his MBA in e-Business.

In 2005, Site Street expanded personnel for the first time, hiring a full time web developer to support the growing demand for Site Street's web services.  In years following, additional web developers and administrative staff have been added to ensure the same superior customer service Jimmy was able to provide from day one.

The combination of real business training plus real-world business experience means Site Street can provide true business consulting for any website or technology project... not just an artist's perspective or a technogeek's analytical view.  Site Street creates websites that truly deliver business success.
