In late February, the AGLCC launched it's brand new gay business magazine, Forward Austin. As the President of the chamber, it was really exciting to be a part of such a great endeavor. Between myself and Jonn Cherico, we burned the midnight oils for a week prior to publication... having never produced a magazine before!
The launch party was also a riot, as the Mayor of Austin, Will Wynn, was in attendance as well Linda McCaul, the wife of Republican congressman Michael McCaul. Both spoke at the event and local news KVUE even spotlighted the event on their evening news! Additionally, I was interviewed on talk radio 1370 AM and email-interviewed on the blog Austinist.
