I went to my first Women's Chamber of Commerce meeting today. I'm really excited about the opportunities in the group. There are a few of my friends and clients in the group, so I wasn't just walking in cold. It always helps to have a few friendly faces when joining a new group.
The speaker was Connie Brubaker. She spoke about marketing to women as opposed to men. Her talk was very interesting, bringing up a few points that I never considered before. And of course, her characterizations of men were totally spot on! I'm a very logical person, as are most men, so it can be a challenge to remember to include information that women need in their decision-making. It can't all just be facts and figures, number of hits or return on investment.
