Monday and Tuesday were the funeral services for my father. It was a very difficult time for everyone. My dad was always my idol, especially when it came to business. He was VERY successful as a retail consultant with The Partnering Group, travelling around the world working with Fortune 500 companies. Many of his business associates attended the services, giving heartfelt speeches in his honor (see www.timflannigan.com for more).
I do a lot of networking events and I was happy to see many of my business friends show their support through email, flowers, and attending the services. It was unexpected... I never really acknowledged that these people were becoming my friends. It really makes me appreciate the relationships I'm building with my clients, suppliers, and associates.
