From the Blog...

The perils of blogging

When I first launched our updated website design nearly three years ago now, I figured doing a blog would be a great way to add content to the site for a boost in the search engines.  And in the beginning, it was part of what became a great success in Google rankings.  However, I fell victim to the common problem of any growing business... not having enough time to keep up with marketing activities when the clients start rolling in.

Mind you, it's not that business has slowed.  Far from it!  In fact, since that redesign three years ago, we've added two full time web developers, one full time and one part time administrative staff, and two part time contractors to handle the increased workload.  And during those years it was a mad rush to keep up... and the blog was the first victim to the increasing website design and development work.

So what started as a way to get lots of content to the site became a stagnant pool; a poor representation of how hard we work on our client's websites.  So now that our internal processes have improved I'm starting up again maintaining the blog... so even as the workload increases I will still make time for the marketing activities required for a successful web hosting and web design company!
