On the road...again

After numerous stops, we finally took off about 3:00 Friday afternoon (4/30).  Got almost to Lampassas when a warning light showed on the dash.  This is the first time that we are using the F350 to pull the trailer.

Hauffpauir Ford dealership looked at the truck right away, even though it was 5:00 on a Friday afternoon!  The computer diagnostic was inconclusive so we went on our way.

Got as far as Tye the first night (just past Abilene).  Don't think we've ever gotten farther on the first day of traveling.  The next day we had the same problem as before plus another warning light but we made it to Eagle Nest NM anyway (altitude 8300 feet).  I even drove a far amount of the way myself!

The location is beautiful and the view from our desks is fantastic!  Sunday morning I woke up with a headache that got worse over the next few hours.  Altitude sickness.  Ugh.  Best solution is to go to a lower altitude so Dan took me to Cimarron which is 2000 feet lower.  About to go back up to Eagle Nest after 2 days.  Headache has been gone and I should be better acclimated now.  (I hadn't expected a problem to begin with.  When we went to Silverton Colorado which is 9300 feet in 2007 and 2008 I didn't have any problems with the headaches.)
